Billing
We do not offer direct billing for health insurance at this time. All fees are due at the time of service unless other arrangements are made in advance; upon request, we will provide you with a superbill that you may use to submit your own insurance claims if you wish.
If you plan to submit health insurance claims, please contact your health insurance carrier to determine the extent of your coverage for both outpatient mental health services and acupuncture, as well as out of pocket costs and deductibles.
Please note that distance services such as depth coaching are not within the scope of clinical services and are not reimbursable by insurers. For these services payment is typically made prior to the appointment via Paypal, unless other arrangements have been made.
We accept cash, checks, major credit/debit cards, and HSA cards.
Acupuncture visits
Typical appointments run approximately 60 minutes, unless arrangements for an extended visit have been made ahead of time.
If you ordinarily brush or scrape your tongue, please do not do so prior to your first (or any) acupuncture visit–the quality of tongue coating is an important part of diagnosis in Chinese medicine.
It is optimal to be neither too full nor too empty for acupuncture treatment; if you’ve not eaten recently, it may be helpful to have a snack of some kind before your session.
All visits
Please avoid alcohol, cannabis, and other non-prescribed mood-altering substances for a minimum of 12 hours prior to your appointment.
Parking
You are welcome to park in any spaces marked with a ‘Spring Wind’ placard, if available. However, please note that other spaces in the parking area are not available for our use; parking in non-Spring Wind spaces may result in towing. Metered street parking is generally available in the immediate vicinity, in the event no spaces are available in our lot.
Please note
All clinical and non-clinical services provided by Dr. Aanavi are under the auspices of Spring Wind Acupuncture, LLC.
